According to the Chronicle Live, Grant Hanley and Daryl Murphy are expected to be amongst a list of names made available to leave Newcastle United this summer, ahead of the club’s Premier League return.

Rafa Benitez has a reported £100m to spend on transfers this summer, but with a number of new arrivals expected, there will be some departures at St James’ Park.

Hanley was a £5.5m signing from Blackburn Rovers last summer, but has found opportunities limited at Newcastle, with Benitez preferring a defensive partnership of Jamaal Lascelles and Ciaran Clark.

Murphy was also a summer signing, arriving from Ipswich Town for £3m. However, Dwight Gayle’s impressive goalscoring form has limited the Irishman’s opportunities with the first-team.

Newcastle are expected to accept bids short of what they paid for the duo as they cut the fringe players from their squad.

The Magpies will listen to offers for a number of other players including, Acharf Lazaar, Jesus Gamez, Henri Saivet, Manu Riviere, Siem De Jong and Matz Sels.

Tim Krul could be another potential departure when he returns from his loan spell with Ajax, but Benitez is expected to hand the goalkeeper another chance to compete with Karl Darlow and Rob Elliot.
