Newcastle United have wasted no time in preparing to bolster their squad after they recently secured promotion back to where they rightfully belong.
There will be many players departing St. James' Park this summer, including those who failed to perform to the best of their ability in the Championship last season, however a club like Newcastle will definitely have the funds and infrastructure to attract many high profile players.
The January transfer window was a massively disappointing one for the Geordies, who failed to bring in a single player which sparked speculation around Benitez' future at the club.
But now the Spaniard has confirmed that he will be at the helm of the Magpies next year, there is one player who he should look to bring in who will help push for the Europa League places next year.
That man is Willian José.
The Brazilian, who currently plies his trade at La Liga outfit Real Sociedad, has netted 12 times in 27 appearances for the Spanish club this season, since his arrival from Deportivo Maldonado.
His form in front of goal attracted the likes of the Magpies, Southampton and Everton in January, the latter being linked with a £27 million move for the prolific forward as a potential replacement for Romelu Lukaku, however a move never materialised.
The 25-year old has been subject to seven loan moves in his career, one of those being a stint at the Bernabeu, where he made just one appearance for Real Madrid.
The Magpies definitely need back up for Dwight Gayle and Aleksandar Mitrovic if they are to withstand the harsh environment of the Premier League, and José would be a formidable acquisition.
So...What do you think Newcastle fans? Should Benitez reignite interest in Willian José? Would he be a good signing? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
