Newcastle United set to make a move for Premier League ace

Published

on

With both the Championship and the Premier League now finished, clubs from the top two tiers of English football will be looking ahead to the summer transfer window.

There will be no exception when it comes to Newcastle – the Magpies are expected to be very busy this summer as Rafa Benitez eyes up to eight new signings to strengthen the squad for a tougher league.

Newcastle United want a new striker and it looks like they are going to bid for Burnley’s Andre Gray, according to The Chronicle.

Andre Gray is about to enter the final year of his contract with Burnley and has so far rejected fresh terms.

Newcastle could be about to swoop for the 25-year-old, who has hit nine Premier League goals this season.

With Dwight Gayle’s injury problems, Benitez wants a goal scorer to aid Newcastle’s campaign.

Former Brentford forward Andre Gray is on his radar this summer.

Newcastle fans – would you like to sign Gray? Let us know below…
