Newcastle United are set to let Gael Bigirimana leave on loan to Yeovil Town after training with the Glovers this week, reports the Western Gazette.
The 21-year-old has failed to see his career really kick-off since arriving from Coventry City in 2011, and has only accumulated 13 appearances for the Magpies.
The promising midfielder spent his youth career at Coventry City and he went on to make over 25 senior appearances for the Sky Blues, before earning a £500,000 move to Newcastle United.
Gary Johnson’s side are struggling in Sky Bet League One and are 23rd in the division, after amassing only 14 points from 16 league games.
Bigirimana who is mostly utilised in a defensive midfield position, could add that element of steel and robustness to the Yeovil Town midfield, which would potentially reduce the amount of goals that they concede.
The Glovers have conceded 26 goals thus far in the league, one of the highest in the division, and Gary Johnson will be looking to resurrect that poor stat by using the emergency loan window.
