Newcastle United prepared to offload trio of flops in the summer

According to a report by The Mirror, Newcastle United are set to sell a trio of players in the summer.

Florin Thauvin, Emmanuel Riviere and Henri Saivet are the three who face the axe at the end of the season.

All three players are currently out on loan after failing to acclimatise to life in England.

Henri Saivet joined the Magpies last January for a reported £5m fee.

The Senegalese international arrived from Bordeaux as a highly rated defensive midfielder but managed just four matches and two starts for Newcastle as they were relegated from the Premier League.

Florian Thauvin also arrived for a hefty fee, joining from Marseille for £12m.

However, he was loaned back to Marseille in January and then again this summer as his Newcastle future looks bleak.

Emmanuel Riviere is on loan at Osasuna after managing just one league goal in 26 outings for Newcastle.

These three are set for permanent summer exits.
