Newcastle United place first team regular on the transfer list

Newcastle United stalwart Tim Krul has been up for the sale by the club after spending the past 8 years at St James Park, according to HITC Sport.

Since Newcastle’s relegation to the Championship, Krul has been linked multiple times with moves to the Premier League with a number of Premier League sides reportedly interested in signing the Dutch international.

The 28-year-old has fallen down the pecking order since picking up a long term injury with both Rob Elliot and Karl Darlow featuring regularly in his absence.

As well as Elliot and Darlow, Rafa Benitez has brought in Matz Sels from Belgian Jupiler Pro League side Gent which was another signal that Tim Krul could be leaving Newcastle United this summer.

The most recent reports however now suggest that Tim Krul has been placed on the transfer list and he is going to leave the club this summer if a suitable bid is put in place.

It is looking inevitable that Tim Krul will leave Newcastle United this summer, however, it is yet to be seen where Tim Krul will move to next.

Newcastle United fans, how do you feel about the news? Will you be disappointed to see Tim Krul leave? Do you think it is the right decision? Would you rather Krul remained as Newcastle’s starting goalkeeper? Is Matz Sels, Rob Elliot and Karl Darlow enough? Let us hear your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below!
