Newcastle United loanee Christian Atsu has hinted that he is prepared to leave parent club Chelsea after a discussion with boss Antonio Conte, according to African publication GhanaSoccerNet.

The 25-year-old winger, whose future is currently unsure, returned to the Sky Bet Championship side after playing a major role in Ghana's African Cup of Nation's campaign, which saw Atsu's side finish fourth.

On return to Tyneside, the former FC Porto man reportedly had a discussion with is parent club about his future role at the current Premier League leaders, one that has bee a bit-part theme throughout his almost four years on the books in west London.

Having spent five separate loan stints away from Stamford Bridge including the Magpies, it is unlikely that the 25-year-old winger will remain at Chelsea beyond the summer.

Christian Atsu was linked with a move to the Turkish Super Lig in January, however, the move did not come to fruition.

Rafa Benitez may consider attempting to sign Christian Atsu in the summer as he has settled into life at the North East club very well.
