According to reports in the French media, Newcastle United are interested in Saint-Etienne defender Kevin Malcuit.
France Football, reported via The Mag, believe that Rafa Benitez wants to snap up Kevin Malcuit this summer to bolster his squad for the Premier League campaign in 2017/18.
Kevin Malcuit has been widely linked with a move to West Ham United and a £10m fee has been touted as the price that a potential suitor would have to pay to land the talented defender.
The 25-year-old is naturally a right back and West Ham United are looking to strengthen in that department to provide competition for Sam Byram.
Newcastle, on the other hand, have DeAndre Yedlin there but might look to add another right back to increase Benitez’s options.
Malcuit has played a total of 29 games for Saint-Etienne this season, including some Europa League outings, and he can also play as a winger or a striker.
