With Birmingham City readying a second bid for Sheffield United’s talented forward Che Adams, Newcastle United are hoping to steal in and beat their Championship rivals to Adams’ signature, according to the print edition of The Sun (24th July).
Che Adams has been attracting attention from a number of Championship sides, after making a string of impressive performances for Sheffield United in League 1 last season.
Sheffield Wednesday has already had their resolve tested as they rejected a seven figure bid from an unnamed Championship club for Che Adams, which was revealed by the Press Association to be Birmingham City.
Although Birmingham City is preparing to make a second bid, Newcastle United have begun preparing to make their own bid for the Sheffield United forward.
With Rafa Benitez potentially guaranteeing Adams regular first team football for Newcastle United, it could be too enticing for Che Adams to turn down.
Although Chris Wilder would prefer for Che Adams to remain at the South Yorkshire club beyond the summer, it is instead looking inevitable that Che Adams will leave if a suitable bid is placed for the talented forward.
Birmingham and Newcastle United fans, what do you make of the news? Would you like to see Che Adams at your club? How integral do you think Adams would be to the success of your season?
