Newcastle United and Aston Villa are interested in signing Norwich City winger Robbie Brady, according to The Mirror.

The Canaries have placed a £12m price tag on the Irish international, having cut their £20m asking price following his impressive displays at Euro 2016.

It is believed Norwich aren’t keen to sell to a direct rival, with Premier League teams including Champions Leicester City and Crystal Palace looking to secure Brady’s services.

Brady has scored five goals in 52 appearances since joining Norwich from Hull, who have a 25% sell-on clause from any transfer, in 2015.

Alex Neil is thought to be selling Brady, who has three goals and three assists this season, to raise transfer funds.

Norwich will be looking to strengthen their squad, who have suffered a recent slump in form in the Championship, as they aim to crawl themselves closer to the coveted top six in the division.

Norwich currently sit ninth in the Sky Bet Championship, trailing sixth placed Sheffield Wednesday by five points, despite an impressive 3-0 victory over Derby County in their last outing.
