Overall this season so far, it's been a pretty positive one for Aston Villa as they look to get themselves back into the Premier League.

Though they had a slow start and certainly had work to do this year, things look to have turned around and a few hidden gems have come to the surface - most namely Keinan Davis.

For sure, the young forward looks like he could be a real star with the right guidance and coaching - something Villa will look to give him - but it appears other sides are interested too, with The Mirror mentioning Arsenal amongst others.

We'd argue, though, that a move to Arsenal would not be right for the young forward.

For sure, it's not because he doesn't have talent - there can be no doubt he could make it in the Premier League - but he needs the minutes to achieve that and he wouldn't get that at the Emirates.

Newcastle, then, should be the kind of club looking to join the race.

The Magpies are the sort of team that should be looking to get hungry, top young stars into their club to keep them in the top flight, and Davis would surely back himself.

Furthermore, with the men from St. James' not possessing the likes of Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette, there's a real case to suggest that Davis would play regularly for them up top.

For sure, there's not a lot of difference in club stature between Villa and Newcastle but the Magpies are currently in the Premier League and, if they came knocking, it would prove a real test of Davis' allegiances.
