Newcastle plotting optimistic move for bad boy midfielder

Sky Bet Championship high-flyers Newcastle United are plotting a move for Lazio midfielder Ravel Morrison when the transfer window opens in January, according to The Sun.

The Magpies have been extremely active during the summer window, and are expected to make a move for the bad boy midfielder when the window reopens in the New Year.

Morrison has played just eight times since moving to the Italian giants 14 months ago and has always been regarded as a talented player, but has had a slow start to his career.

The attacking midfielder was strongly linked with a move to St. James’ Park in the final days of the summer transfer window, but the Magpies signed Christian Atsu instead.

The 23-year-old would bolster Newcastle’s midfield, but many will be wary of his bad attitude rubbing off on the squad.

The midfielder is reportedly looking for a move back to England after coming back to Manchester on a regular basis to play five-a-side.

Newcastle fans… what do you make of the news? Would you want to see Morrison at the club? Are you concerned by his slow start to his career? Let us know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
