Newcastle United manager has urged everyone at the club to “do our job” as we approach the end of season run-in, the club’s official Twitter account is reporting.

Newcastle have fallen off the pace in recent weeks, picking up just one point in their last three matches.

The Magpies were sitting in first place before this recent rut but Brighton have since leapfrogged them, clinched automatic promotion and look set to take the title too.

Newcastle will be purely focused on winning automatic promotion now with Reading and Huddersfield starting to pile the pressure on Rafa Benitez’s side.

After losses to Sheffield Wednesday and Ipswich Town and a draw against Leeds United, Rafa Benitez will want his side to return to winning ways when they host Preston North End at St James’ Park on Monday night.
