Newcastle join Sunderland and Man City in the race for in-demand Chelsea man

Newcastle United are one of a number of clubs eyeing a move for Chelsea’s young striker Dominic Solanke, according to the print edition of The Daily Mail via The Chronicle.

Dominic Solanke is believed to be seeking a route out of Stamford Bridge and numerous clubs are lining up a move for the youthful striker.

The England under-21 international is highly rated at Chelsea but he wanted assurances on his game time and an improved contract.

After Chelsea refused to up his wage, he has reportedly claimed that he is leaving in the summer.

The report suggests that Newcastle, Sunderland, Everton and Manchester City want Solanke whilst other reports have confirmed that there is interest from Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Liverpool and Celtic.

The 19-year-old previously spent a period out on loan with Vitesse, where he netted 7 times in 25 games.

Newcastle are set to offer Solanke £35,000 a week, according to the Mail.
