Newcastle United are interested in signing Hull City midfielder Robert Snodgrass, according to the Daily Star.
The 29-year-old midfielder is said to have snubbed a new deal on Humberside as they struggle in the Premier League, representing a huge blow for Mike Phelan at the KCOM Stadium.
Despite the struggles the club endured over the summer, the Scotland international has been arguably the Tigers’ best player this term.
It’s said he’s looking likely to quit the club when the January transfer window opens and isn’t thought to have any problems with the notion of dropping down into the Championship.
Teammate Mo Diame did exactly that in the summer and the Magpies look like a good bet to make it a quick-fire return to the Premier League.
Following an injury to Rolando Aarons, the winger options available to Rafa Benitez look a little light, with Yoan Gouffran out of contract in the summer.
