New takeover in pipeline for Nottingham Forest as Fawaz looks to sell up

Published

Nottingham Forest could be set for a third takeover bid, according to a report in the Sun.

The Reds have already been the subject of two takeover bids in recent times, with the latest effort from an American consortium headed by John Jay Moores falling foul at the final hurdle.

Current owner Fawaz Al Hasawi has incited plenty of anger among fans this season with his apparent reluctance to sell the club while still selling off the club’s most valuable assets, including the likes of Oliver Burke at the beginning of the season.

However, a new takeover headed by an English based consortium could be set to make a bid for Forest, and the news will surely be of good news to Forest fans who are desperate to see the club back in the Premier League.

Forest have endured a miserable campaign this term and have found themselves fighting at the wrong end of the table for much of the season.

Any takeover would no doubt be seen as good news for Forest fans.

Forest fans, what do you think to this development? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
