Nottingham Forest last night announced the signing of Algerian striker Hilal Soudani, continuing their impressive summer spending spree under manager Aitor Karanka.

The Reds are still looking to add new players to the squad though, and the signing of Soudani will not hinder the club's attempts to sign Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban.

This is, according to respected journalist Alan Nixon, who was replying to a question from a fan who posed the question about Grabban.

Nixon's emphatic 'no' answer to the question will serve as good news for Reds fans, who are currently on the edge of their seats on a daily basis waiting for the club to announce further signings.

The likes of Joao Carvalho and Diogo Goncalves have already signed for the Reds this summer, and the addition of Soudani gives the Midlanders massive strength in depth in terms of the attacking areas.

However, with Grabban a player who has been linked to a whole host of clubs already this summer, it appears Forest will not be giving up the chase for the former Norwich and Rotherham United man.

Forest fans, what do you think? Would you like to see Grabban arrive too? Let us know in the comments!
