Nottingham Forest have made many new signings this summer and fans will be excited about one in particular after their comprehensive 3-0 win over Malaga today.

That's because Gil Dias, who joined on a season-long loan from AS Monaco, scored a wondergoal that has got fans talking.

He picked the ball up just inside his own half before beating five Malaga defenders and then slotting home to cap it off.

After the game, he took to social media to reveal how pleased he was to score his first goal for the club and that Forest ended their trip with a win.

The 21-year old is one of many exciting, attacking additions who joined the club this summer as Aitor Karanka made major changes to his squad.

Dias spent last season on loan at Fiorentina in Serie A, playing 27 times for La Viola and scoring two goals, although he was used as a substitute for many of those games.

As well as that, he has represented his country at various youth levels including U21.

The Verdict

Forest fans will be delighted after Dias' contribution today and it shows that he has real talent.

Obviously, it's only a friendly but it will do him no harm in terms of his confidence and belief ahead of the new campaign.

Now, it's down to the player to continue this form as the Reds build up to their opener against Bristol City at Ashton Gate on August 4.
