New Nottingham Forest head coach wants to make Togolese forward his first summer signing

New Nottingham Forest boss Philippe Montanier wants to recruit lively forward Floyd Ayite as his first summer signing, according to French sports newspaper L’Equipe, via Get French Football News.

The 27-year-old is currently playing in Ligue 1 with SC Bastia and he netted seven goals during his 32 games last season for the French outfit.

Ayite was born in Togo and has also played his club football at Bordeaux, Angers and AS Nancy during his professional career.

Forest were shy of goals last season in the Sky Bet Championship and new boss Montanier will know that he needs to recruit some firepower to go alongside talisman Britt Assombalonga next season.

With the club now able to buy players again following a season under a transfer embargo, the new head coach will have ample flexibility with which to sign his own players, with Ayite apparently on his radar.

Ayite also boasts international experience having featured 19 times for Togo, scoring three goals in the process.

Nottingham Forest fans, would you welcome the Togolese forward to the City Ground? Do you know much about him?
