Nottingham Forest's new manager Mark Warburton is hoping that his experience with Glasgow Rangers will prepare him for being a success at the City Ground, according to The Herald Scotland.

Mark Warburton was recently named as the new Nottingham Forest boss after Fawaz Al Hasawi lost patience with caretaker manager Gary Brazil.

Forest have crept towards the relegation zone and are now very much involved in a relegation battle - something which Warburton will have to address immediately.

Reflecting on his Rangers experience, Warburton said:

"I hope it will help me; you'd like to think that you learn something from every club you are at.

“It is an incredible level of expectation up there.

"But every job you take, you hope that you gain from it and get stronger for it.

"As a person you hope you are better for the experience and it was a big two years in Glasgow.

"But we have emerged from that and we are delighted to be here now.

"There is not one member of the management team or staff at any (Championship) club who is not after exactly that (promotion to the Premier League) every summer."
