Latest Luton Town signing Peter Kioso has left a message on Twitter to the supporters of the Hatters, after putting pen to paper on a deal that sees him move to Kenilworth Road.

The 21-year-old right-back has joined the Championship club from Hartlepool United, where he has spent the last 18 months as a regular within the side.

Having made 28 league appearances in the National League for the fifth-tier outfit, the youngster has jumped at the chance to step up to the Football League as he looks to make a lasting impact at Kenilworth Road over the years to come.

Luton are currently struggling at the foot of the Championship table, having taken 21 points from 28 games this season as Graeme Jones looks to try and pull the Hatters away from the bottom of the table.

With 18 games to go, Kioso will be tasked with trying to solidify the defence at Kenilworth Road as Luton fight for their lives to stay up this season, having achieved promotion from League One last campaign despite losing manager Nathan Jones to Stoke City halfway through the season.

The Verdict

Kioso appears to be ready to try and take the challenge of Championship on with all that he's got, and he won't be under pressure from the first kick he gets at Luton, having stepped up from non-league.

The defender will be dreaming of leaving his mark on Luton this season and in further years as he tries to establish himself in the second tier, but for now he seems grateful to have been given the opportunity by a Championship club.
