Queens Park Rangers’ Geoff Cameron is out of contract in the summer.
The 34-year-old began his career in the States, and in ten years he’s gone from MLS prodigy, to Premier League enforcer, to World Cup player.
Cameron is a hugely experienced footballer and one who’s well-liked around QPR. But should he be offered a new deal?
He played 19 times in the league for QPR last season and was rewarded with a year-long extension for this season. This time round, Cameron has so far featured 28 times in the Championship.

Mark Warburton has utilised Cameron in a number of positions, and his wealth of experience seems to give this youthful QPR team some much-needed balance.
Although Cameron has stated his desire to stay, no news has yet come out of QPR to suggest that they’re in negotiations, and his summer release looks all the more likely.
Plenty of QPR fans have had their say on the matter:

If we sneak up thro the playoffs then no deal, if we don't then deal #QPR

Think he can do a job for one more season providing wages are right for the club #QPR

Loved Geoff last season and still do like him but he just hasn’t looked the same when he’s played this season and turning 35 in the summer it’s probably best we don’t offer him a new deal as he’s on big wages too. Top bloke though

Had it for me, think he’s been a bit lacklustre in patches this season and slow. Nice guy but I think we could get better, would hedge my bets he ends back in the USA next season.
