‘New cult hero at the Valley’ – Many Charlton fans react to message from summer signing

Charlton Athletic summer signing Ryan Inniss has sent a message to Addicks fans after their 1-0 win against Wigan yesterday, which has been well received by the Valley faithful.

Jake Forster-Caskey’s free-kick proved the difference for Lee Bowyer’s side, who claimed their second victory of the League One season.

Inniss made his Addicks debut after joining the club permanently from Crystal Palace last week and sent a message to Addicks fans via the club’s official Twitter account after the game.

He said: “Brilliant results. Happy to get the clean sheet. Hope you have a brilliant weekend and stay safe.”

Inniss produced a resolute performance at centre-back for the Addicks, making three clearances, one tackle, and winning 10 of his 12 defensive duels (Sofascore).

The former Palace man was one of a string of summer signings that arrived after Thomas Sandgaard became Charlton’s new owner and their transfer embargo was lifted by the EFL.

Do these celebrities support QPR, Watford, Luton or Charlton Athletic?
