Huddersfield Town have registered their interest in signing Nottingham Forest winer Albert Adomah according to The Sun's Alan Nixon.

The journalist claims that Danny Cowley's side are waiting for a response to their offer for the Reds winger, who has struggled for consistent game time this season.

Adomah has made 27 appearances in all competitions this term for Sabri Lamouchi's men although the majority have come as a substitute, as Forest continue to impress in this year's league campaign.

Nottingham Forest are currently sat third in the Championship table, and will be hoping they can make a long-awaited return to the Premier League under Lamouchi's guidance.

It has previously been reported by TEAMtalk that Cardiff City were interested in signing Adomah before the January transfer window closes, although it remains to be seen as to what stage they are at with negotiations for the winger.

Huddersfield Town sent Adama Diakhaby on loan to Nottingham Forest, for the remainder of the season, which will have only pushed Adomah further down the pecking order.

So, the Reds could be tempted to repay the favour by allowing the 32-year-old to sign for the Terriers in the near future, as he looks to find regular minutes this season.

With the deadline for transfers set at 11pm on Friday evening, it's certainly a deal that seems as though it could go down to the wire.

The Verdict:

This could prove to be a smart move by the Terriers.

They recent lost Adama Diakhaby to Nottingham Forest, so Danny Cowley's side could certainly benefit from signing another winger before we hit the 11pm deadline this evening.

Adomah is down the pecking order in Sabri Lamouchi's plans at the moment, so it would make sense to move him on during this month's transfer window.

I think he's a good enough option to have for the Terriers as well in the Championship this term, and they'll be hoping they can beat Cardiff City to land his signature.
