New Brentford signing Scott Hogan has insisted that his new club can reach the Premier League within two years.

The 22-year-old joined the club on Monday from Rochdale for £750,000 and believes that the team can propel him to new heights.

Speaking to the club’s official website, he said: “My aim is to play in the Premier League and through speaking to people I can see that being here with Brentford.

“They are giving me the platform to do my thing and I see myself in the Premier League with Brentford in two years.”

This season The Bees will be playing in the Championship for the first time in 21 years, and it isn’t just Scott Hogan who has big plans for the club.

“Where everyone sees this club in two years sold it to me,” said the striker.

“It is a massive project and everything around the place is brilliant.

“It was an easy decision even though I am moving home and moving down south. I am very excited.”

Hogan had two spells at Rochdale – the first as a youth player between 2009 and 2010, before rejoining the club last season, going on to net 17 times in 32 appearances.
