Mark Warburton has completed his first press conference as Nottingham Forest manager since being appointed in the week, as reported by the Nottingham Forest official Twitter account.

Warburton was giving his press conference ahead of this weekend’s East Midlands derby clash with bitter rivals Derby County and he singled out young Ben Brereton for praise.

The 17-year-old has burst onto the first team scene this season after his prolific record in the youth system earned him the right to mix with the senior squad.

And the England under-19 international has made quite the impression to start his Nottingham Forest career, with three goals in nine appearances so far for the Reds.

The Forest faithful have high hopes for their academy graduate and Warburton is already excited about working with one of the country’s hottest prospects.

Mark Warburton said:

“Ben Brereton has a great attitude, an eye for a goal and he has a growing reputation.

“We need to make sure he produces for Forest.”
