Birmingham City manager Harry Redknapp has admitted to Sky Sports News HQ that he has not watched his new side in action at all.
After Birmingham’s 2-0 loss at home to relegation rivals Burton Albion this weekend, Gianfranco Zola resigned from his post as Blues manager.
This was after Birmingham fans upped their protests against his leadership with the Italian only managing two wins in 24 games after controversially replacing popular manager Gary Rowett.
He took Birmingham from play-off contenders in 7th to relegation candidates, with just three points separating them from the drop with three games left to play.
Harry Redknapp was appointed swiftly after Zola’s resignation and he has been tasked with keeping the West Midlands outfit afloat this season.
The former West Ham, Tottenham, Portsmouth and QPR manager admitted that he had never seen his players play and he was going to take his first training session shortly.
“It’s my first day tomorrow and I get to meet the players.
“I haven’t seen them play, I will be truthful with you.
“I haven’t got a magic wand.
“It is up to them.”
