Loads of Charlton fans have been reacting to the recent revelation that Lee Bowyer was blocked from signing Hull City striker Tom Eaves during the summer.

An ex-employee of Roman Duchatelet's was the man who made the decision, with Bowyer revealing to London Online that he had been keen to sign the then Gillingham man and even spoke to him - but that the move was blocked.

Since signing for Hull, Eaves has netted two goals in 19 appearances. Four fewer than Macauley Bonne and three fewer than Lyle Taylor.

So it is safe to say that the news has not left too many fans heartbroken.

However, Bowyer can at least expect far fewer problems of that sort under the new ownership with ESI expected to back him in the January transfer window.

When the news of the Eaves rejection was spread on Facebook, therefore, many fans were not too disappointed...
