‘Never leave’ – Plenty of Charlton fans react to key player’s latest message ahead of Preston match

Charlton striker Macauley Bonne has shared a motivated message ahead of his side’s match against Preston on Sunday, as they look to build on the point they gained against West Brom last time out.
Lee Bowyer’s side secured a 2-2 draw at The Hawthorns courtesy of Josh Cullen’s stoppage-time penalty, while in-form striker Bonne was also on target to score his fifth goal in six matches.
The former Leyton Orient has proved himself to be a capable replacement for Lyle Taylor during the latter’s injury absence, with Bonne having adapted to life in the Championship well following his switch from the fifth tier.
The 24-year-old has led the line with great effectivity as he has helped the Addicks maintain their solid start to the season, with Bowyer’s side now sitting ninth in the table despite having to contend with a long list of injuries.
Bonne has now taken to Twitter ahead of his side welcoming Preston to The Valley on Sunday, with the striker claiming he is now itching for the lunchtime clash to come around.

Reckon this could be our toughest home game so far. Preston right on form – but we shouldn’t fear anyone at The Valley. Best of luck mate hope you can nick at least one!
