Jacob Murphy's late free-kick helped Newcastle United earn a draw against Wolves last night, which appears to have caught the attention of many Sheffield Wednesday fans.

Raul Jimenez put the hosts ahead in the 80th minute at Molineux, blasting a volley into the bottom corner, but Murphy whipped a low free-kick around the wall and into the bottom corner with just one minute remaining of normal time.

That goal meant that the points were shared between the two top-flight sides and that Murphy has now scored twice and added an assist for the Magpies this term.

The 25-year-old has seemed out of Newcastle's first-team plans in recent seasons, joining first West Bromwich Albion and then Wednesday on loan.

He impressed at Hillsborough last term, scoring nine times and adding six assists, and reports over the summer suggested that there were talks between the Owls and Murphy's parent club over another loan.

Such a move never materialised but it appears the winger isn't someone that fans of the Yorkshire club have forgotten about.
