The rivalry between Huddersfield Town and Leeds United has been at an all-time high in the Sky Bet Championship this season, as both clubs challenged for promotion to the Premier League.

Huddersfield recorded two victories over Leeds over the course of the season, with February’s triumph sparking a mass touchline brawl between managers, David Wagner and Garry Monk.

Ultimately Leeds’ quest for the play-offs fell short in April, but Huddersfield have gone on to achieve promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.

As expected, interaction between the two clubs on social media has been rife over the last 12-hours.

Huddersfield’s Kasey Palmer, who spent the season on-loan with the Terriers from Chelsea, took to twitter to claim his side’s victory in the play-off final was for the Leeds fans, following the reception he received following an injury he picked up in February’s clash.

Palmer’s tweet has provoked a reaction from Leeds’ supporters, who are unimpressed with the forwards’ message…

Leeds fans… What do you make of Palmer’s tweet? Let us know your thoughts!
