Neil Warnock has hit out at Wolverhampton Wanderers after his Cardiff City team lost 3-1 at Molineux this weekend, the Express and Star reports.

Two goals from centre back Danny Batth and a late solo goal from Helder Costa was enough to earn Wolves a 3-1 victory over Warnock's Cardiff and move them to eight points clear of the relegation zone.

But Neil Warnock was in no mood to congratulate the winners, claiming that they did not deserve to win and that Wolves would not improve but Cardiff would.

Warnock also highlighted the fact that Wolves had spent a lot of money, citing the £12m move for Ivan Cavaleiro, and compared that with his side, who didn't spend anything in January.

The Cardiff boss went on to say that Wolves always looked vulnerable despite having an expensive attack and that some of the antics on the touchline were a "disgrace", although he refused to specify any events.

Warnock said:

"You saw Wolves spent £12 million on one player.

"We haven't spent a penny.

"We brought Greg Halford in.

"I think we can improve, I'm not sure they can.

"I don't think they won the game, I think we lost it really.

"I was quite comfortable with things early doors.

"Even when they scored, we looked dangerous.

"We got back to 1-1 and had a great chance, probably the easiest chance you will ever get, and Gunnar doesn't know how he missed it.

"Then it was a bad defensive situation for the second goal.

"It's been our strength, not to give goals away, but we got caught.

"I know they have spent a lot of money on their forwards but I thought Wolves were always vulnerable if I'm honest."
