Neil Harris is looking forward to the London derby with Fulham on Friday, but he has a word of caution that fans would do well to take note of.

He's stressed that the style of play the Lions are likely to face will result in a lot of possession for the promotion chasing visitors, but Harris says that isn't a problem.

“I think they will probably have a bit more of the ball than us on Friday night, that’s safe to say,” Harris told News Shopper.

“Then again every team probably has a bit more of the ball than us. We’ve got no qualms with that, Fulham are a very good footballing side and have some great technicians with the football."

Knowing how possession will be divided is a key factor in assembling his own game plan, something the Millwall manager has been very good at as his side look to gate-crash the play off party.

“If we’re not going to have the ball our shape will have to be very good, and it has been second half of the season. We have to make sure that when we do have the ball we’re ruthless with it and clinical and use it wisely."

Millwall are currently sixth in the table, a point clear of Derby County who have a game in hand.

The Verdict

Would you dare bet against the Lions right now?

This is a real clash of the inform sides, two who have turned poor starts into incredible runs. Fulham look destined to fight for the automatic spots, whilst Millwall have surprised everyone with their recent surge up the table.

It will be a big ask to keep Fulham quiet on Friday, but Harris' side have proven time and again they're up to the task in the Championship.
