It's been a pretty frustrating start to the season for Fulham who have just been let down by their attacking play so far in the Championship.

Writing that, of course, seems pretty odd given how fluid the Cottagers were going forward last season but it is how it is right now for Slavisa Jokanovic and his men.

Indeed, one win and one loss has been accompanied by four draws so far from their opening six games with the latest coming against Cardiff City at the Cottage on Saturday afternoon.

For sure, then, it is evident where the club needs to improve and this stat from Goodbrand Stats on Twitter certainly doesn't help reduce the frustration:

Fulham, then, need to be that bit more clinical in front of goal - as they were at times last season - and then they'll surely be rocketing up the table back towards the play-offs.

Indeed, their next chance comes against Hull City later this week who shipped five goals at Derby and so maybe, just maybe, a win will be on the cards.

The Verdict

It has been frustrating for Fulham this season, make no mistake, but it should be pointed out that the Whites are at least not far away from turning things into a very good season.

Indeed, they know where they need to improve and they also know exactly how to do it with them scoring goals for last year so there should still be some optimism.
