Nottingham Forest made it three games unbeaten under new manager Chris Hughton on Friday night, as they played out a 1-1 draw with local rivals Derby County at The City Ground.
Things had started in concerning fashion for Forest, with Derby looking the better side in the first half, and taking a lead into the break thanks to Martyn Waghorn’s stunning free kick.
Forest however, rallied after the break, and found an equaliser early in the second half, as summer signing Lyle Taylor instinctively turned home from close range when the Rams failed to get a corner clear from inside their penalty area.
That goal was Taylor’s first goal for Forest in just his second league start for the club following his move to The City Ground earlier in the year, and taking to Twitter to react to the game, plenty of the club’s fans were unsurprisingly pleased to see the striker get off the mark for his new club.
Here, we take a look at what some of them had to say about that, and Taylor’s all-round performance.
Anthony Knockaert outstanding debut change the game second half different class🔥! Really impressed with Lyle Taylor aswell work rate 💯 deserved that goal! #NFFC

Poor night at the office thought Knockaert gave us something different second, plenty of urgency and looks keen to make an impact. Also thought Ameobi had a decent game again and Lyle Taylor, our Man of the Match. Superb. Take the point, move on. #NFFC

#nffc jeepers does Lyle Taylor work hard. He makes some really clever runs and he’s a smart player but blimey Charlie he works hard to close down defenders.
