Leeds United fans were watching with envy as Dan James stole the show for Wales as they beat Slovakia in their Euro 2020 qualifier today.

The Swansea wide man was poised to join the Whites in January until key figures at the Welsh club controversially prevented the move.

However, the 21-year-old hasn't let that impact him as he has gone on to star for Swansea in recent weeks. And, he carried that form on for Wales today, scoring his first international goal.

James showed his electric pace to nick the ball from the defender before beating Martin Dubravka with a thunderous shot from the edge of the box.

He was a threat to the opposition all afternoon too, with the right-back unable to live with his direct style and speed, with poor finishing preventing the Swansea man registering a few assists.

It's fair to say that his performance certainly caught the eye of Leeds fans who were wondering what might have been, with some calling for the club to go back in for James in the summer.
