Krystian Bielik's agent has questioned why the Polish international was used against Tottenham for the U23 side earlier this week after he picked up a serious knee injury.

The initial news surrounding the summer signing is not good, as it's feared he has damaged his cruciate ligament which could see him out for up to a year.

That came during the fixture for the development side and it has prompted the player's agent, Cezary Kucharski, to criticise the club about selecting him for what is a pretty meaningless game when speaking to the Polish press.

"Krystian was getting ready for Saturday's match with Hull. He could easily handle it by training normally. In the meetings of younger players, on a lower level, the game is completely different. I believe that this Monday session did not make sense."

However, Derby's decision was based on the fact Bielik hasn't played this year after serving a three-game ban following his red card against Charlton in late December.
