Blackburn Rovers should be considered dark horses for the play-off places in the Sky Bet Championship – providing the season resumes and plays to a conclusion.
Certainly, few would have had Rovers penned in as top-six contenders alongside some of the others up near the top at the start of the campaign but, under Tony Mowbray, they’ve performed well this season and must now be considered a real threat to break into the play-offs.
Can you get full marks on this Tugay quiz?
That is what they’ll be aiming to do between now and the campaign’s conclusion, then, but in the meantime, fans have been discussing Sam Gallagher and his performances on social media since he arrived at Ewood Park.
Let’s take a look at what has been said after Rovers HQ posed the question:

Great player, u can see, but he is constantly getting played out of position and it’s ruining his career

If we wanted a winger, we should've signed a winger…

My son thinks he’s amazing! Even trying to grow his hair so he can be like him! 🙈 pic.twitter.com/FUzbcMgBAN

Think he's worked hard but definitely isnt a winger and needs to play up front not fair on him and cant be doing his confidence any good 6 goals could be worse.

As to your question, he needs to improve, but playing him on the wing won’t bring him confidence. He’s not suited there obviously🤷♂️ He needs to be playing a central role to bring that confidence up!!!
If TM can do that for him then I think… I hope, he’ll be a good signing👌🏻

Sam is quality, just waiting for TM to get the best out of him,

Clearly, a few want to see him playing in his preferred central role rather than out wide and Mowbray might well be weighing up the possibility of doing that whilst we’re in this current pause.
