It was a bitterly disappointing afternoon for Nottingham Forest on Saturday, as they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Stoke City in Staffordshire.

The Reds were hoping to pick up from where they left off after a magnificent 1-0 win over arch rivals Derby County on Monday night, with Martin O'Neill's men climbing to within touching distance of top six.

But the East Midlands side failed to build on such an important three points, as goals from Peter Etebo and Benik Afobe secured a really important win for Nathan Jones - only his second as Stoke manager..

The Reds just couldn't get out of first gear - they were shaky at the back and failed to threaten going forward, and they really missed top scorer Lewis Grabban who remains on the sidelines with injury.
