Leeds United forward Jay-Roy Grot is set to return to the club this summer and many fans of the Yorkshire club have been debating whether he has a future with the Whites.

The 22-year-old has spent the season on loan with Eredivisie side Vitesse – making 25 appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist.

Grot joined from Dutch second tier side NEC Nijmegen in August 2017 and after featuring 22 times in his debut season at the club has fallen out of favour.

The 22-year-old has not featured once since the arrival of Marcelo Bielsa in the summer of 2018 and has spent the past two seasons out on loan in his home country.

Last term he impressed with VVV Venlo, grabbing six goals and three assists in his 33 games for the club, but he has struggled to make the same sort of impact for Vitesse this term.

Grot's current deal with the Whites is set to expire in 2021, which means they may look to cash in on him this summer.

With Leeds pushing for Premier League promotion, it looks set to be an important transfer window for the club and one that could see a number of players come or go.

Have Leeds United done these 15 things in the last 10 years? – Yes or no? Have a go now!

The 22-year-old's future appears to be a contentious issue among the Elland Road faithful, with many fans taking to Twitter to voice their thoughts.
