Bristol City failed to seize their opportunity to move up to third in the Championship table as they slipped to a 3-1 defeat against Birmingham City on Friday night.

It was a fantastic start for the Robins as Jamie Paterson scored inside the first minute but efforts from Scott Hogan and Lukas Jutkiewicz either side of Andreas Weimann's own goal then sealed the win for the Blues.

Johnson had selected an unchanged starting line-up ahead of the match following the 1-0 win over QPR, with this seeing the City boss field a 4-1-4-1 formation with Famara Diedhiou up front and Weimann on the flank.

Weimann has now started every one of City's 31 league matches this campaign, while he has played the full 90 minutes in the last five games, but plenty of supporters were not happy with his display against Birmingham.
