Nottingham Forest supporters have been heaping praise on Sammy Ameobi, following his excellent individual display during the Reds' emphatic 4-0 win at Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday.

Ameobi was a constant threat to QPR's defence throughout the contest, as Sabri Lamouchi's side put on one of their best performances of the season so far, to make a real statement to the rest of the Championship about their potential to really mount a promotion challenge this term.

The 27-year-old has really made the position on the left-hand side of Forest's attack his own during the last few weeks, starting a sixth consecutive game after being in and out of the side at the start of the campaign, and he produced two moments of quality to set up two of the Reds' four goals at QPR on Wednesday.

The attacker came to life in the second period and really managed to help Lamouchi's side take full advantage of their extra man, following Lee Wallace's red card five minutes after the break, with his driving runs down the left-hand side and unselfishness at times opening up chances for his team-mates.
