The confusion around the takeover situation at Bolton Wanderers shows no signs of coming to an end, with prospective new owner Laurence Bassini now well into a 48 hour extension period agreed with the EFL for him to prove he has the funds to take over the struggling club.

So far it appears that that has yet to edge a takeover any closer to completion, and it seems that frustration is starting to grow around the University of Bolton Stadium, as the club struggle to prepare for next season following confirmation of relegation to League One.

There has been a growing suggestion that the club could be heading for administration, should the takeover not be completed, and although that would leave Bolton starting life in the third tier with a 12 point deduction, journalist Alan Nixon has claimed that fans of the may even be happy with administration, in order to end the speculation surrounding Bassini and current owner Ken Anderson.

Interestingly, a number of Bolton fans appeared to suggest that a administration and the punishment that would follow would be no worse an option than the situation the club currently finds itself in.

Here are some of the best of the reactions...
