Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier shared a joke with the club’s supporters over Twitter as the club wait to get back to Sky Bet Championship action.

The goalkeeper has stepped into the Leeds United first team in recent weeks following the eight-game ban imposed on Kiko Casilla last month, with the French goalkeeper impressing during his short spell in between the posts as he has kept back-to-back clean sheets in the games against Hull City and Huddersfield Town.

With the EFL currently suspended until the end of next month, football clubs are coming up with new ways almost every day to keep their supporters entertained and Leeds United are no different. The club have been recreating their upcoming schedule through the most recent addition of the FIFA franchise. The most recent clash that was simulated was the all important six-pointer at Elland Road as Fulham travelled virtually to Yorkshire.

Leeds managed to win the game of FIFA by two goals to nil with strikes from Pablo Hernandez and Jack Harrison, meaning that Leeds came away as 2-0 victors. Should that result be replicated in real life once the suspension is over, Leeds could have a comfortable lead over the Londoners in the race to the Premier League.

As Leeds managed to keep a virtual clean sheet over Fulham, Meslier responded on Twitter:

Leeds supporters enjoyed the comment of their current number one goalkeeper and reacted in their droves to the French goalkeeper.
