It has been a predictably poor start for Bolton Wanderers following a worrying summer and their fans have been reacting to yet another piece of bad news on Monday.

The sale of the Trotters is still yet to go through, with negotiations going on for months now.

It is a scenario that has already seen Bolton punished with a 12-point deduction after they went into administration towards the end of last season with the situation not becoming any more stable.

And, with just over 24 hours until kick-off, the club have had to postpone their midweek home match with Doncaster Rovers.

The reasons given are somewhat unrelated, however. With hosts of first-team players leaving in the summer, many of the youth team have been called upon to fill the many holes in the squad.

But, following a 5-0 hammering by Tranmere Rovers, the club feel it would be detrimental to their development to make them play another match already.
