Sheffield United take on Reading this weekend as they look to keep their automatic promotion charge well on track.
The Blades were victorious in midweek as they beat Middlesbrough 1-0 at Bramall Lane in what was a very close game.
Indeed, it threatened to end up being a draw – a result neither side really wants at this stage of the season – but Chris Wilder got his substitutions right to make the all-important difference.
Richard Stearman got the winner, then, but it was Gary Madine who, arguably, excelled and impressed most of all with his hold-up and link-up play after coming on up front.
A player that has settled in nicely at the club, then, we asked Blades fans whether they’d like to see him feature from the off against the Royals this Saturday coming, and it seems as though most really would:
Who Madine starts for remains to be seen with Billy Sharp in fine form at the moment, too, but it’s certainly a nice headache for manager Wilder to have.
And, if he does play Madine from the first whistle tomorrow afternoon, it looks as though he’ll have the backing of many of those supporting the men in red and white.
