Neal Maupay has shared a hilarious mock up of himself celebrating his goal against Leeds United on Monday evening.

The image, shared to his Instagram story, shows the 22-year-old with a goat's head in mid-celebration along with a host of Leeds fans who are not too happy about it.

It is a picture that Maupay himself obviously found funny too, writing alongside it: 'Who made this?' along with three crying laughing emojis.

Maupay gave the Bees the lead against the Whites finishing smartly from the edge of the box after Sergi Canos had slipped him through on goal just before half-time.

Leeds continued to dominate possession but could not find the back of the net with Patrick Bamford and Stuart Dallas both missing good scoring chances.

And they were made to pay just after the hour mark when Canos squeezed the ball into the back of the Leeds net following a Maupay pass to make it 2-0 and kill off the game.

The verdict

It is a funny picture in fairness.

The depiction of Maupay as 'the GOAT' is funny, and the reaction of the Leeds fans to his celebration only serve to heighten the humour.

I would not rule out the Frenchman playing for Leeds next season either so I imagine all could be forgotten very soon.
