Jamie Shackleton has been called upon by Leeds United at right-back, with Marcelo Bielsa having to deal with a number of injuries to his defensive unit at this crucial stage of the season.

Leeds have lost the likes of Stuart Dallas, Gaetano Berardi and Luke Ayling to injury in recent months, leaving Shackleton as Bielsa’s only option on the right of defence.

The 19-year-old featured for 90 minutes of the 2-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers on Saturday, impressing with his stats, which were provided by @LUFCDATA.

Perhaps the most impressive was Shackleton’s passing accuracy, with the youngster completing over 90% and more than any other player who started the game.

As expected, the mature performance of the youngster has received plenty of praise from Leeds’ supporters, who have been quick to discuss Shackleton across social media platforms.
