Charlton Athletic were beaten 2-0 by League One promotion rivals Hull City last night and many fans have been left venting their frustration at striker Omar Bogle.

The 28-year-old joined the club as a free agent in October but has struggled to find his form at the Valley – scoring just twice in his 14 appearances for the Addicks.

Bogle started as part of Charlton's front three yesterday but was pulled off at half time by Lee Bowyer after making little impact.

The former Cardiff City striker made just 15 touches in total, failing to register a single shot on target and losing possession seven times (Sofascore).

Perhaps the worst moment of his 45 minutes on the pitch came when the ball dropped to him on the edge of the six-yard box from a corner but he failed to make proper contact and the Tigers keeper easily gathered.

The striker's display was symptomatic from a disappointing Charlton performance and they weren't helped by Darren Pratley's red card in the second half.

Goals from Hakeeb Adelakun and Greg Docherty gave Hull a deserved win at the KCOM Stadium, with Bogle's performance a particular point of discussion among the Charlton faithful.
