West Bromwich Albion defender Nathan Ferguson has aimed a five-word jibe at teammate Kyle Edwards after a video emerged of him doing the draw for the semi-finals of the ‘WBA 6-a-side Championship’.
With EFL fixtures suspended until the 30th of April at the earliest due to the Covid-19 outbreak, clubs are having to find new ways to keep their fans entertained.
To that end, the Baggies have started a competition in which they’ve put together 6-a-side teams from players, past and present, and asked fans to vote on which they think would win via Twitter polls.
The ‘WBA 6-a-side Championship’ has now reached the semi-final stage and a video emerged on the club’s official Twitter account of Edwards doing the draw yesterday.
We now cross live to Edwardo HQ for the #WBA6ASideChampionship semi-final draw. 🏆

The post appears to have particularly entertained Ferguson, who took to Twitter himself to dig out his teammate in response to the video.

Edwards and Ferguson are both products of the West Brom academy that have had breakthrough seasons in 2019/20.

Ferguson’s jibe at Edwards seems to be more evidence of the close relationship between the duo, which is no surprise given they’re both young players that have come through the Baggies academy.
The 19-year-old defender’s season has gone somewhat off track after he nearly moved to Crystal Palace in January.
His move to the Premier League club fell through due to an issue in his medical but West Brom technical director Luke Dowling suggested back in February that he looks likely to leave in the summer.
